In 2009, AWA Food Solutions was created by the AWA Group in order to consolidate its 17 years of experience in the food additives industry as a reliable, long-term partner to its valued customers. AWA had developed a keen understanding of its customers’ problems, the innovations that they sought, and how to meet their needs for customized food additive solutions. AWA Food Solutions not only continued the mission of providing the right ingredients to a wide range of industries, especially fast moving consumer goods (FMCGs), but has also expanded the company’s local and international presence by offering innovative solutions and production facilities in various parts of the Middle East.

AWA Food Solutions specializes in developing improvers, stabilizers, preservatives, emulsifiers, and many other mixture ingredients used by FMCG industries. The company also provides its products to a wide range of food manufacturers, particularly those in beverages, dairy, meat, and confectionery industries. AWA Food Solutions is committed to offering high quality, reliable services, including research and development (R&D), blending, traceability, and quality control.  

Located in Borg El Arab, Alexandria, the AWA Food Solutions’ facility contains a state-of-the-art application center, where all our solutions are developed and fully tested. The factory features a fully equipped, advanced R&D facility ensuring the development of solutions that are not only of exceptional quality, but also safe for consumption and the environment.

Founder

Throughout, it has been the vision of founder Eng. Wael Ghandour that has made AWA Food Solutions and the AWA Group the market leaders they are today. Based on the success of Ghandour’s first company, AWA Food Additives, and the desire to fulfil market demand for customized solutions in the food manufacturing industry, he established AWA Food Solutions. Ghandour has always had a keen focus on customer requirements and demands, and an unbending desire to provide them with exactly what they want in terms of food solutions and services.

As a chemical engineer himself, Ghandour knew his vision for AWA Food Solutions could only be fulfilled by building a state-of-the-art facility, using the highest quality input ingredients, and hiring the best technicians available in the market. Under Ghadour’s guidance, the company has never wavered from its commitment to quality in all areas of its business, which is why AWA Food Solutions is now considered an indispensable business partner to its local and international customers.
